mod7 Creates Little Pixel World for ShiftControl Media

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

We’re excited to announce our latest client project, which quietly launched today:

http://shiftcontrolmedia.com/

ShiftControl is a company that represents the best of the advertising, video gaming and the pop culture spaces, synthesized to create memorable and meaningful brand experiences for consumers. For the new website, mod7 turned their philosophy of “seek first to entertain” into a fun, immersive Flash experience.

The best part? It’s full of little pixel people with kooky attitude and story arcs worthy of Shakespeare (err… or maybe a slow Lost episode)…

Wednesday, October 10th, 2007

Hello! People have been asking to see some samples of our recent motion graphics work. Unfortunately, we’ve been too busy to put together a new reel for you all (feel free to check out our old 05 demo reel). Feel free to check out this recent motion graphics and titling work from mod7 (unedited dump–sorry, for motion graphics fanboys and fangirls only!).

mod7 Project Featured in Sept/Oct 2007 Issue of Step Inside Design

Thursday, October 4th, 2007

UJC’s fundraising online documentary for small businesses affected by the 2006 Lebanon-Israeli War is featured in Step Inside Design’s Sept/Oct 2007 Issue. We’re very happy to see our work getting a positive response by our peers and the industry. This was a great project to be involved with, full of technical and content innovations (for us).

The article states, “Mod7 approached this project with restraint and an uncanny knack for storytelling,” and continues on with “…the site creates an immersive environment with the depth and emotional heft of a typical documentary… [Wil] Arndt’s inspiration for the project came from the powerful spreads in magazine.”
